Origin – Italy
Colour / appearance – typically light in colour ranging from white to beige and sometimes called Alabaster Roman Travertine. When cross cut the pattern is cloudy, when vein cut the typical parallel lines or bands are seen. Does not typically contain significant pores or cavities.

Colour/ appearance – slightly darker than Roman Travertine, Montemerano has a slightly wavy grain. When cross cut it has a warm, earthy appearance with texture and when vein cut exhibits distinctive lines and banding.
